Random Question:Y people screw up things?
Milipedia Answer:The most common reason why people screw things up,would be when thinking from the mind and thinking from the heart gets mixed up....
Intellectual Reasoning, logic, objective thinking play no part in certain issues.. some things need to be jus accepted, and that happens when u wholly n souly believe in certain things. When you get into a discussion, or start reasoning out things or try defending them they just get more complicated, and once you get webbed its difficult.
Falling in love, Believing in God, Losing loved ones, reason of our existence, intutions..and many such sensitive issues in life which are unexplainable... how can one apply their mind to it and satiate the quest, and clear one's doubts? It becomes too difficult to vindicate one's claim...
Its easy to preach practicality but it doesnt hold good everywhere. Somethings are matters of heart and they need to be dealt purely with emotions, feelings and simplicity... To then take it from there and reach the heights is the most beautiful thing ever.. one may stumble and fall, but its fine. Life is a risk in itself. Why fear then?... A simple faith can make life magical and the very reason for living. Its exalting... Faith is not reason... it doesnt need any logical or substantial proof.. its just felt.
Conclusion: If we can just learn to differenciate situations which need an application of mind or heart.. we can live a peaceful life, learn not to hurt people unintentionally, and live happily ever after.:)

Thinking is not the prerogative of the heart. Thats what the mind is there for. Intellectual reasoning, logic and objective thinking are the reasons why man has emerged as the most successful animal on planet earth. People who think from their minds tend to optimize on all parameters, as they get a chance to analyse every aspect of a given situation. People who think from their hearts tend to be unrealistically optimistic to the point of brazen stupidity. These people are a treat to sanity and many a time, the firestarters of various bushfires all around the world. I prefer people who think outta their butts to people who think they think (That implies people who 'think' from their hearts)

YES..you sure would prefer people who think from their butts cause its quite obvious you are doing the same.:)
Man and THE MOST SUCCESSFUL animal?i am afraid,i prefer muted animals who at least dont display such blatantly hollow ego..It can be quite illusory to the point where one can lose their "so called" thinking power itself..

If you follow your own conclusion to it's end - one will be most happy when one loses all that is human and accepts the rules of animals and embraces their basic instincts.
So, "happiness" doesn't actually come from knowing when to stop thinking - true happiness would be to quit thinking totally.
But I tend to disagree that thinking makes things any less beautiful. In fact, I believe it only makes them more beautiful at many more levels. That we have to believe in certain things as inevitable is a lack of our ability.
I am not inclined to celebrate it. Perhaps it is an inability of another kind.

Think about it this way.
Logic by definition, is universal and unquestionable.
But, it needs to be applied correctly. For example, "We don't have enough information to know" is a very common logical analysis that follows from a lot of issues but it is rarely followed.
Existence of god for example. Meaning of life, Love, meaning of Loss, etc. (note though, this does not apply to religion. Religion has got enough history about it and data to conclude very logically its reason for existence and its purpose).
To use the heart where the mind cannot go, should be a concious decision.

@ scorpion: i have said in general..about people.Dont think there is any difference in how men and women screw up things.
@Aradhya:Sorry for the late response. However i agree with you.
"Not thinking at all" gives happiness. But TRUE happiness?Whats true happiness? There is no such thing. Its a state of mind,a perspective whch we fit as per our convinience..
@Unforgiven: thanks for your thoughts.I jus hope i dint miss the point.
